As the daughter of award winning photojournalist and acclaimed best selling author, Bill Brett, Kerry learned fast and furious the love of the lens. She enrolled at the University of Massachusetts, Boston, during which time she was also a regular contributor (for 6 years) at The Boston Globe. Simultaneously, Kerry became the Staff Photographer at The Improper Bostonian, one of Boston's hippest circulations, a position which she has had for more than twelve years. In 1997, Kerry Brett Hurley Lifestyle Portraits was born. In 2004 Kerry restored and restructured, from the ground up, a historic commercial studio building just outside of Hingham Square in Massachusetts; her new state-of-the-art studio is located at 89 Hersey Street, Hingham, Massachusetts.

The recipient of countless awards recognizing the quality of her work, including numerous Kodak Gallery Awards, Fuji Masterpiece Awards, and Courts of Honor. In 2006 at WPPI's Annual International Print Competition, Kerry proudly garnered Second Place in the Awards of Excellence Print Competition for Best Portrait. She is also a Master Photographer and Certified Photographer through Professional Photographers of America.

Kerry has proven to be a versatile photographer, capturing the personalities of celebrities, socialites, and top executives, while using a candid documentary style. Whether on location or at the beach, on the red carpet, in town, or simply in her studio, Kerry will capture the image you never thought existed.
